i don thtink people realize how difficult it is to pole vault. im on my highschools vaulting team and its pretty damn tough. you use every single muscle when running, and bending.

hey u dont wanna just get a tiny pole and bend it. use the biggest pole you can still get into the pit with. you will still bend it but overbending is useless. i jumped 13 my indoor season with a huge pole. i used a smaller pole outdoor season to work on inversion. i didnt get past 12-6 all season. i ended up breaking that pole a couple weeks ago and had vaulters block until regionals when my season ended. you gotta train like you would vault in a meet or else u'll regret it.

this kids right i was ona 100 pole and i was under but it was a tiny pole and a bent it it much almost snaped it rofl then my coache moved me to a 11"6 pole i cleared 2 feet higher im in 8th grade and im at 9"6 so i think its ok the 11'6 is a 110 tho so yea rofl=]

one of my friends decided to vault this past track season. he weighs one fifteen and he was on a one forty five to start out with. first time vaulter and he cleared 10-6 by the end of the season.
