Bobby covered all styles/genres of music....even do-wop. Listen to a song he wrote and sang called "You're mine" very reminiscent of the early "bird groups". |
I agree with and endorse previous comments about music from that era being so-o-o good! |
Una delle piu' belle canzoni degli anni '60
Speriamo che l'ascolti teacher Paula di Verona New Jersey

i love bobby darwin im 21 and i love this song and oldies music cause i hate the music they got now love it |
i know what you mean im 15 and stuck in this music it's just great 50's music is just better then the rest! |
This was back when music was so simple. I love Bobby Darin, he was such a msuical genius! I wish music could be like this now... it's funny that I'm 16 and I'm lost in the 40's-60's music lol I hate most of the bands I hear now. Some are really good and truly soulful but most are just making songs to sell CD's and make money... I hate it when I hear mainstream on the radio and it sounds like the lyrics were written in ten minutes. Often with one verse repeated 20 times... |
God, I wish they made music like this now days. |
BRILLIANT! |
You're right with your "technical" statement.
Bobby Darin isn't doo-wop at all. I said
this because of the typical doo-wah behind
him that reminds me of The Crests and The
Belmonts. Did you ever see American Wax? |
Agreed that this is a classic song, although I would not call this technically "doo wop". This is more pop. Doo Wop was street corner style singing with little instrumentation. |
AHHHH!!! hes awesome |
can't believe he died in 1973 that sucks he made awesome music wish he was still alive!!! |
nice memory. |
This really is a classic and probably the
best Doo-Wop song together with 16 Candles.
I still remember sittin' in the garden when
I was 12 lookin' at the stars and listening
to this song on the radio. |
