i loves orr!
I can't watch Balsam and Perkins in this and NOT think of Psycho!!
Those nurses...clearly they were not hired for their nursing skills.
god... i love this book, even though towards the end, the black humor mounts up until everything turns crazily depressing T.T
i think that's what makes it great though
it's fun but it's still war
Catch-22 is real. It is a hidden rule.
This book is what coined the term Catch 22.
This is the film, even more than "Psycho," that proved Anthony Perkins to be the superb actor he was. The comic timing here is impeccable, especially in the hilarious scene where he's trying to explain to Yossarian why he can't see Major Major. This whole film is probably the best anti-war film ever made (especially since it concerned "the good war, WWII). The director, Mike Nichols, comes very close to capturing the tone of Heller's great book.
