im sure Elvis loved Ann but they were both BIG stars and it wouldnt have wouldnt worked out, she would be worried if he would be fooling around on her and he would be worried if she would fool around on him, they were both hot looking stars in there heyday.... too much to handle at the time...they look great together though....

I agree. I think these two were destined for each other but I think [just personal conjecture] he felt obligated to keep his promise to Priscilla's family that he would marry her someday.

he didn`t felt obligated... he "felt" threatened to say the least... everybody knows that Priscilla's father threatened Elvis with jail if he didn`t marry her because she was 14-15 years old when he started dating her...

of course i wasn`t there... i`m not that old... i`m only 24... but it`s been 43 years since all that happened and the media and the people who were close to them took care of letting all the world know of every single detail about those days...

Actually, the media got most of it wrong in those days. It wasn't like now when every time Lindsay Lohan sneezes we have to read about it. Elvis' affair was kept under wraps as was alot about his life. That is why the Albert Goldman book was so shocking when it came out. On the other hand, that book was not considered accurate on all counts. I once had a conversation with a long time Memphis resident [in Memphis] who said that Elvis was not as isolated as the book describes.

JAJAJA!!! i loved your comment about Lohan... but it`s true nowdays we even read and see on tv when and where those girls go to the bathroom... but anyway... about what you wrote... i also always thought that he wasn`t as isolated as the media always said... i think that because he wasn`t a "party-guy" or a star that was all the time in the public eye, the media and a lot of people made him look(especially after he died) like some kind of hermit that didn`t have a life outside the stage...

I don't know how many times I've watched this and I still love it ;D Elvis were the king and he will always be ;P :P
