I agree entirely. The new Malibu and the CTS, especially the CTS-V, are shining examples of how Detroit, GM in particular, is far from finished. Demand for the Malibu is way up, and even the stubbornly anti-American car critic Jeremy Clarkson praised the CTS-V. But still, GM cars from the 80's and 90's weren't bad at all, especially the full-size ones.

Our trucks and SUVs from the 80s and 90s were the best you could get. Cars...not so much. I'll admit that we really screwed up in the car market during that time period. The good thing is that we've learned from our mistakes, and the '08 Malibu and CTS, the 2011 Chevy Cruze, and the 2010 Buick LaCrosse are all shining examples of this.

Absolutely right- God would drive a Chevrolet, and Jesus would drive an Oldsmobile.
