Another point that makes Sydney so unique and enviable to other cities world wide is it is the ONLY city in the WORLD to boast an airport, clean harbour, clean beaches and a CBD within such a short radius of each other!!!!!

Oh come on. There are great people everywhere. I've never been to Canada but I know some really nice Canadians. If you're nice to people they're generally nice to you. I don't want to sound patronising but it's true.

I think very few foreign citizens are allowed to vote anywhere, if at all. Why should they? If they want to vote they should take out citizenship. I have been a foreign resident in Switzerland for 30 years. It is very difficult to get citizenship here as you have to stay in one plave for a minimum of 10 years which I have never managed. It sometimes annoys me that I can't vote but I understand why. Imagine all the foreigners trying to fathom corrupt OzPollies! Can't be done. Look at GongGate eg.

Dearest Swiss person, I'm an Australian living in Switzerland. It is sooooo beautiful here. I live on a mountain in a 250 year old farmhouse in Canton Berne. The beauty of the landscape still takes my breath away. I have even learnt Swiss German. I love the friendly people and the almost non-corrupt form of government. I still miss home (Sydney) but I think I'm very, very lucky to live in YOUR beautiful little country. I also like the fact that there are very few snakes here!
