Franklin D. Roosevelt in WWII

Video Title : Franklin D. Roosevelt in WWII
Description : Roosevelt, only 62 in 1944, was in declining health since at least 1940. The strain of his paralysis and the physical exertion needed to compensate for it for over 20 years had taken their toll, as had many years of stress and a lifetime of chain-smoking. He had high blood pressure and long-term heart disease. Aware of the risk that Roosevelt would die during his fourth term, the party regulars insisted that Henry A. Wallace, who was seen as too pro-Soviet, be dropped as Vice President. After considering James F. Byrnes of South Carolina, and being turned down by Indiana Governor Henry F. Schricker,[53] Roosevelt replaced Wallace with the little known Senator Harry S. Truman. In the 1944 election, Roosevelt and Truman won 53% of the vote and carried 36 states, against New York Governor Thomas E. Dewey.

Haha Fuck Franklin Roosevelt!! He was worst then Hitler or Hirohito, haha he died before the end of ww2 hes a fucking devil, BURN IN HELL from Japan Tokyo... lol!!XD

Billy you have to realize that FDR led America out of the Great Depression and out of WW2.

Franklin Roosevelt was many things, and in many ways a great human being; he most definitely was NOT a great President. He did not "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States," in fact he did much to destroy it. Woodrow Wilson was even worse, and why these two are awarded such high rankings by historians is beyond me. They presided over bloodbaths, reckless fiscal irresponsibility, and they deliberately deceived the people.

FDR was a huge part of bringing America out of the depression. During his term in office it was also the most change the country had seen since Lincoln and the civil war. FDR was one of the greatest leaders that America has seen.

I agree with USAgoddamit billy, he led us out of the freakin depression THE LARGEST ECONOMIC STRAIN IN US HISTOTY, if he had not, well the US would probably have been destroyed

Thanks for sharing. What is your take on the current economic disaster? I am of course speaking of the things not covered by the media, things concerning real people.

helped me with my report

This is inaccurate - we now know Roosevelt was tired and ill but did not play a minor role in the negotiations.
