Safety glasses are made out of shatter proof plastic but I think if he was closer like 5 feet away the pellet would of went right through.

That's what I was saying about PCP's and their high prices but I can understand why we would buy them and why we might not think about high costs compared to rimfire or centerfire guns, because people think of howmuch fun thy can get out of firing powerful PCP's inside citylimits while high power guns are very loud, dangerous, ammo costs too much and even a 2-mile-safe backstop is not safe enough.
When I am not out of the city I can shoot springers all day with one cokcing action per shot. When I want to shoot my airgun I just take it out and shoot. When I am done I just get up put it back up and it is ready for the next day. No pump up required at all.
On the weekend I get my firearms and head to the country and have some fun. A lowly .22lr can make 140lb-ft.
I know what you're saying. My old comments here shows that I was saying the same about PCP's but after comparing them in more detail now I think PCP's having 1250fps,nearly the rimfire .22 power is very nice to have assuming one already lives in a house with a yard half acre or larger, plus PCP's can be set at a lower 800-900fps & you'd get about 50 shots out of 1 fill.Imagine using your winchester-lever-style on Sumatra & shooting 6 quick 1200fps accurate 100yard shots without pumps and pellets.
They still do NOT make "near" the same power (or fpe) as a firearm in the same caliber. PCPs in .22 can get 60fpe and that is less than half of .22lr at 140fpe with a 31gr bullet going 1400fps and a 40gr going 1080FPS has over 100fpe.
A PCP going 1250 fps is using a light pellet that probably has even less energy.
