Should Fox News Cover Coulter Instead of Petraeus Hearing?

Video Title : Should Fox News Cover Coulter Instead of Petraeus Hearing?
Description : Instead of giving its viewers full coverage of the September 10 congressional questioning of General David Petraeus and Ambassador Ryan Crocker on the status of Iraq, Fox News broke away from the hearings when Democrats were doing the questioning multiple times, most egregiously to cover the Ann Coulter clips I compiled for my viewers in this video. This video is one of DOZENS of examples now listed on my Fox News Bias playlist at: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=A3BD2524FE99BD4D

FOX puts Ann Coulter on because its what their viewers want to see. It has nothing to do with "bias" any more than the liberal media's use of liberal commentators on their news channels. If you want to see some real media bias, try PMSNBC or CBS, ABS, NBS and CNNBS.

Friday, January 28, 2005 - CNN founder Ted Turner calls Fox News Bush's propaganda machine. He likened the network's current popularity to Adolf Hitler's rise to power in pre-war Germany, and criticised the "dumbing down" of news which left the public uninformed of crucial issues. Ann Coulter is a joke and a bore. I just want the facts not opinions. They don't want you to have opinions unless they have given them to you.

It's FUNNY! that's why. like LiberalViwer said, she's like Stephen Colbert. I have serious doubts she's actually republican.

"Nicely hitting the main themes" doesn't suggest support of the views expressed. If Obama says that the themes of the 2008 election are the economy, the war in Iraq, and taxation, I can agree that he nicely expressed the themes, even though I disagree with his particular views.

To say that a guest "nicely punctuated" the "main themes" can reasonably be taken to mean that the host is lending credibility to the guest. The point is that the host is supposed to hit the main themes the guest's responses shouldn't be characterized, particularly if I as the viewer am supposed to decide if I think the main themes have been "nicely punctuated."

Well again, this is just the opinion of someone who's sat in most show production meetings. If Cavuto had said that the discussion hit the main themes or that his questions had hit the main themes that would have been a non tilted way to end the interview. Honestly though even that would have caught flack as simply being boring dead time.

Abates, Your comment seems to make my point. You are saying that you as the consumer, not the host, determine if the guest "punctuated the main themes" even if you disagree. That's the key part. Like I say at most the guest should pat himself on the back for asking good questions and even that is gratuitous. Like I say just my point of view based on real world experience in the industry being discussed. Perhaps you have equally compelling bona fides.

people arguing online, it never gets old and it never ends

"daily treason" for shame Ann.. Fox always too ready to call out "Un-American!" what will they do when Bush is out of office?

ann is a bonzo wanna be!
