Okay, this was not a war. This was a protest. The thing that marked it out as memorable was that he alone stood up for his wants and needs, and faced it ALL alone. He was extremely brave and honorable in the way he was the only one to stand up for the men and women being killed mindlessly. And, popo, the Civil war was not to free the slaves, numbnuts. It was the South trying to break away from our government. And, Braveheart was a movie. They didn't even make it close to what actually happened.

Every country on earth has gone through, civil wars, revolutions and killed it's own kind! just to name a few: American civil war to free the black slaves The french revolution The IRA in the UK and "brave heart" Scotlanders! all the above wars, revolutions and movements resulted in death and violence. What's so amazingly different about Tiananmen Square that so many likes dwelling on it? Just another sad part of the world history!! MOVE ON ppl!!

Thx for your reply! I respect your views and understand why you are name calling me! I don't understand however, is how am i a disgrace when i am neither American or British? First, if you say to a Scotish that the movie Braveheart is a disgrace, i think the whole island of Scots will come to ur door. The movie is based on historical record & account. Misconceptions? May be, cuz i dont no every detail of western history. But i am sure that most westerns no nothing about China's history!
