I agree with you

Mitsubishi should do a remake of the sigma. like they did for colt

Ahhh the memories of my 1986 Pigma... previously owned by Pops. Barely 300kms to one tank, sticky tappits, poo brown interior. When the Pigma was passed onto me in 2000, there was 45,000kms on the clock. The "chrome look" on the passenger doors was still covered by that blue plastic protector and the seat belts buckle bit still had their yellow "safety checked" stickers! Complete with sheepskin across the backseat :)

the only people who ever called these cars shitboxes were people who never owned one, probably the same people who own garbage commodores and think they have a world class car....

Im not suprised Mistubushitty have gone broke in Australia. It's hard to live down endless models of shitheaps!

A mate was injured by a rental Mitsi Magna in Aussie - its seat springs popped through!

2.6L motors were kickass, and they're awesome when done up right. Just have to look at the competition of the time, Holden Commodore w/ Starfire-4? Bah.

The astron motor was great if you loved the sound of a rattling timing chain, and enjoy being suffocated by burning oil.

Well maybe not the firsts, issues with early make chain tensioners and castings. Once you get forward a little, automatic tensioners, roller rockers and higher compression cylinder heads, they became a good all-rounder. Unfortunately those didn't come in until 1985, and fully in 1991.

They sure rattled and timing chains died at only 20,000km for earlier models and they are also complete rust buckets now because I knew someone who had a 80s sigma and had to sell i because it was too rusty
