91,000 Sons of Iraq = 91,000 former insurgents that were killing American Soldiers now getting a check for $300 a month from us to not kill our guys. What a milestone! Between this semi-illegal arrangement and the somewhat tenuous cease fire with the Sader Brigade which is falling apart, what has our increase in troops really accomplished?

If you pause the video at 0:20 and look at the chart of violence that they show you will see that since just before January all trends start going up and keep on that path. So why is it that we are made to think that the current rise in violence there is a shock? It is anything but a surprise if you look at the trends they show and use to say we are doing fine. Everything is peachy keen! What ever happened to the original benchmarks? They were talked about at the last hearing and never again?!
