Hot-Rods 'n Heels is a show for dedicated gear-
heads and neophytes alike. It started on the radio, broadcast every Tuesday (10pm to 12am
CST) on WRFN-LP 98.9 Radio Free Nashville.
K9 Kohl "The Car Nut" interviewed and talked
cars with such legends as "Dr, Oldsmoble" Joe
Mondello, the designer of the Batmobile,
Munster's Car and the "Back to the Future"
Delorean, George Barris and the great promoter "Broadway" Bob Metzler, known as the PT Barnum of
drag racing. After hearing so many listeners lament not being able to see the great cars and engines being
discussed, K9 and director/producer Greg J. Welsch decided to give the people what they had been hoping
for and Hot-Rods 'n Heels TV was born. But instead of dropping the radio, they decided to meld the two.
"K9 loves to be behind the mike and I thought that the intimacy of radio, the guest in the studio and live caller
on the line could blend well with the on-the-road, out in the mud, get your hands dirty nature of the TV
coverage. You get both extremes. They really complement each other." said Welsch.
So come along as K9 Kohl and his beautiful co-hosts Danica and Mindy take you to the cruise-ins, mud
drags and other special events that you can only find if you know where to look down the back roads of these
great United States. We all love to see the million-dollar truck being tricked out and superstars' motorcars

their hard-earned money and a lot of blood sweat and tears making them mint. You'll get to know the racers
who may not have millions in sponsors but their love of racing and their hunger to compete makes for some
great times at the track. Where other gear-head shows just scratch the surface, Hot-Rods 'n Heels gets

designer of world famous Mondello racing heads. He is a member of five drag racing Halls of Fame and has
designed engine heads for everyone from Garlits to Schumacher. Joe's heads have been on 80% of the
qualifiers at the Pomona Nationals and it was a Mondello head atop a Ford engine that first beat Porsche and
Ferrari at Le Mans. Joe will talk tech. We will go behind the scenes with Joe to see how the top drag and
circle track racers get their engines to do what they do!
On the Road with Allen Pezo - Allen Pezo is one of the original Monster Truck racers. He has been in the
business of Monster Trucks for over 25 years. He is the owner of Predator Racing and drives the Predator
in exhibitions and competitions all across America. Allen will take us inside the world of Monster Trucks.
And he will give us a peek at what life is like on the road with one of these incredible machines in tow.
