Felicia, your videos are amazing. Keep them coming :)

Thank you for your kindness!

"He fails to do this here" Bobbystormont, you think he failed to that here?!? are we even listening to the same song? You're crazy if you think Sinatra failed here.

Warblerab, why do you think anyone whose opinion you object to is "nuts" or "crazy"? It really is ok to find fault with some of Sinatra's performances.

"Warblerab, why do you think anyone whose opinion you object to is "nuts" or "crazy"?" I don't think everyone I disagree is nuts or crazy, just some of them. "It really is ok to find fault with some of Sinatra's performances" perhaps, but not this one.

The whole appeal of Sinatra is that he lifts songs out of the musicals, and makes them into personalised statements. He fails to do this here - but does nail it on his 1963 version.

Somehow Sinatra is not true singing actor... it's just a bit self indulgent and shows his crooning roots. Just watched Gordon MacRae; he is a good singing actor who keeps meaning in every phrase and doesn't sound like he is singing just because he has a pretty voice.

"Somehow Sinatra is not true singing actor.." you're nuts. It is clear he can sing wonderfully. Go watch some of his dramatic performances and tell me he can't act.

I agree, he acts very well in some movies; he's just not very dramatic in this studio recording.

"he's just not very dramatic in this studio recording" you and I must not be listening to the same recording.
