JFK, in fact, offered Diem safe passage out. But Lodge & Landsdale, working with CIA assets & Vietnamese generals had Diem & his brother-in-law murdered. The CIA's Vic Marchetti fingered Hunt as the payoff man in the JFK murder, a jury in 1992 rendered a verdict against Hunt, judging him guilty, & Hunt confessed to it before he died. In 1972, John Dean told Nixon, Hunt demanded $2 million in hush money & Nixon agreed to pay it, saying, "Hunt knows things that can bury us all & " "Tell Ehrlichman this whole group of (Hunt's) Cubans is tied to the Bay of Pigs. " Haldeman said Nixon's "Bay of Pigs" remark was his coded reference to the JFK killing.
