I love this hire. The fact is walsh said he wanted the team to be competitive and exciting next year and hiring D'Antoni is perfect for that. The knicks aren't going to win with this roster anyway. Obviously there will be lots of changes. As a diehard lifelong knicks fan, I believe its a good start. D'Antoni will learn to adjust with this team which includes defense. Just have confidence people and give it a chance. I know its hard believe me.

Mike D'Antoni = gimmick coach. Here's why. D'Antoni's offense succeeded during the regular season in Phoenix, and was certain to put butts in seats, but ultimately failed in the post-season, because his teams were so soft defensively. Also, the Knicks have been a wreck since Zeke became the team president, so you probably won't be seeing results positive immediately, unless the team starts majorly overhauling the roster and rebuilding from scratch (which could include trading Stephon Marbury).
