If i was that small sloth bear, I would run too. If I was a large brown or polar bear, the tiger would be the one running.

Btw the cougar tried to bite him and didn´t cause any effect lol. Then the bear send the cougar awaywith a kind paw swipe. lol. There´s a video of black bear making a cougar retreat, also a small asian black bear on a lioness and then a brown bear on a jaguar. You have all these here on youtube. But in fact bears usually are shy, but stronger.

bears are not aggressive, they mostly run from a fight. A large bear would rip up any cat if it got a correct hold on it, but thats a point, the tiger is very agile and it would be hard for it to get that good hold it needs. I say tigers are sexy because i like them, all animals are beautiful but to me, a tiger is more elegant than a bear, resulting in my favouring it :D

A large bear don´t need a really good grip on a tiger, because tiger bones are much ligther than bear bones, so full paw blow from the big bear can really seriously injure the tiger for his life. On the other hand bear bodies have thick skin, much denser bones,fat tissue protection which means that´s much more protected than the tiger. I understand what you say about tigers they are indeed elegant. They are truly amazing animals. I like also polar bears and their cubs btw.
