I've been getting a lot of comments stating that not all greyhounds are abused. well if 10,000 die a year (in the us) by human causes, there must be some crulty. the truth is, is that only a lucky few have what it tkes to be a track dog. the others are sold for as little as $5 or terminated.

Of course it happens at some farms...

I would like to say 1st of all this doesnt a happen at all greyhound farms. I worked for one prior to taking an Animal control officer job. I have 2 greyhounds & they are very good dogs. Not all farms beat the dogs, and abuse or kill them. The greyhound farm I was working on adopted out the dogs that rescues will come and get. I know there are places that abuse the dogs, but most of them aren't even on a farm,so think about the dog down the street that your neighbor may be abusing or neglecting.

I never new that racing was so horific, i've got a whippet and i wouldn't like any of that to happen to him. Thanks for opening my eyes to the real side of greyhound racing.

It is true that some greyhounds are tortured, but it is also true that some greyhounds find loving homes! So please, before yo uenter a comment, try to read up, and understand more about it! And please! If there is a center near you, try to help these animals! Thank you and God Bless!

...how silly...learn how to spell yourself, JB. Crazy, not "cray" and there is no such word as "spelt". It's "spelled"...but, all that aside, please do more research. The tracks are an automatic death sentence for the majority of greyhounds. Some by culling (killing at birth), some while racing, some when they're deemed poor runners. Sadly, a very select few are adopted. Track economics just flatly discourage it. Try laying in a crate for 20 hrs. a day. That's just for starters!

Once again as I watched this video my heart cried out to stop this barbaric "sport" thank you from my heart for your efforts to end this destruction of one of God's creatures. Beth

Thank you for telling the truth about racing of the greys. It is a terrible "sport" which needs to be banned.
