hey any tiups for next year i have a 2006 iron horse 7.3 would it take ythe course
i ride a yeti asx u think my bike will handle this event?
Lemme tell u, you dont NEED a big bike to hit everything. hell, i hit 5 foot drops on my little 24" k2 a couple years ago. but, big bikes sure as hell help when you can plow through whatever line you want when you dont have to worry about braking and picking a line though the rocks. true, you dont need a big bike for most of the known trails in the bay, but you might need a big bike for some unknown ones and you definitaly need a big bike for real mountains.
precisely
i race a nomad for most of the cali events excpet northstar and such when you need a big bike... but like sea ottter is perfect on a nomad... you dont need a big bike at all, its waste and doesnt pedal as good
just run it on an all mountain bike, they'll soak up whatever u throw at em, and they're lighter and cheaper than big bikes. If you can get your hands on one, get a cannondale prophet. The lefty shock shaves off plenty of weight and works great. It's really too bad that cannondale discontinued the line, i personally hate the new rush. If you are gettin a bg bike tho, get a specialized BigHit or a cannondale gemini.
