so w8 this is fake!? GOD DAMN IT 4 MINUTES OF MY LIFE WASTED! I was hopeing to see actual H.P. Lovecraft damn it...

Well done but... the actors don't sound true. But really well done, the sounds, the picture. Even the face of "Lovecraft" couls work.

I felt like I was watching Red Dwarf or something, so I stopped watching this footage in the middle and looked at this comment board, and, hahaha...

Clever that they attribute the makers of the film to the WPA, which did do a wide variety of things, including traveling around the country recording American cultural "artifacts". Though HPL wasn't very well known at the time, I can just see some rep from the WPA who had read some of HPL's stories, tracking him down and interviewing him.

aw, i thought this was real for a minute. What a shame. Very cool and fun little piece of work for us Lovecraft fans, tho.

It's not supposed to be video--it's supposed to be film.

The first true sound films were made in 1929. By 1933, practically all films were made with sound.

something totally off the topic david macallum the actor did two super audio tapes of one the dunwich horror and second the haunter of the dark both far better than anything do recently please check it out if you can find them they are rare.

Actually, the first sound film was in 1927; although it took a few years after that for silent films to disappear, they were largely defunct by 1933.

...he doesn't even look like him
