Stephen Harper is amazing

I have worked for my Member of Parliament and know that most gov departments are not as independent as you are saying, however the quasi-judicial ones are.. more or less

I have no idea how that comment even relates what I said in my video and in the comments below. I'm not saying anything about quasi-judicial, nor does independence play a crucial role in my argument. Calling bureaucrats partisan because they disagree with the PM is not only dumb, because they are on the face technically more intelligent at their jobs then the PM, but it is wrong.

I think the reason he called her partisan was that she was giving them a hard time when they tried to discuss with her if they could reopen the reactor and she rudely blew them off. You're right, probably not the best way to go about things, but I think the cons were frustrated at her attitude.

Rudely? Please break this story because Keen did no such thing. Please tell me where you get this information? Further the Conservatives have resorted to calling other key bureaucrats partisan, as mentioned in the video.

well I heard the "rudely" and "difficult" assertion from Lunn I think... or some cabinet MP but your right it doesn't look good even though I can speak to what they are feeling. I think rex murphy said the cons gov was acting "besieged" and I as a conservative in canada feel this way sometimes. (besieged by civil servants, media etc) who we feel are working against us

And now Liberals are saying the samething. Go read liblogs. Maybe just maybe, the media and maybe even I, criticize those that deserve criticism.

civil servants of a quasi-judicial branch can be fired "with cause" (as their mandate and the law stimulate) so was there cause? -ignored pleas from AECL to get more time to update the reactor-ignored public health (she knew about isotopes)and thirdly, not co-operating (a bit subjective) but the head of AELC resigned over the issue, so too, should she have. A truck driver isn't doing his job well if he gets the shipment there, but ignores the rules of the road and public safety in the process.

Yes, she knew about the medical isotopes, but her mandate did not include the health of patients. Her mandate was strictly concerning nuclear facilities and the safe disposal of nuclear materials. Now I predict you'll still disagree, but that doesn't even refer to the main point of my video which Stephen Harper is ruining the integrity of one of if not the most important branches of government, the bureaucracy. By Harper accusing bureaucrats of partisanship when they disagree with him is bad

and drastically hurts any bureaucrat from doing what he or she knows is right and has years of experience that Harper doesnt in each specific field.
