Sopranos Ending Explained |
| Description : |
Please Post a comment or video in response.
In a departure from our normal type of content, PressPassTV.com's Michael Artsis explains the ending to the Sopranos. He has watched the show from the begining and has studied mob history. This is his theory and in no way reflects the opinons of presspasstv.com (especially Dan's).
At PressPassTV.com, we bring you the best behind the scenes sports coverage. We introduce you to the athletes you root for and bring you into their world as we showi you who they are and they're like, away from the game.

"(including sudden cut to black) is Tony's death".
And who would have been the hitman?
We cannot speculate what happened because we were not shown it. We can only go on what the show shows the viewer. It ends with Tony be left to living his life paranoid and in fear of his life. The joys of being a mob boss. |
@Lywnis
Think about it...if that loner was a hitman. He would hardly know where Tony be sitting that he would be placed above the entrance of the toilet. So he would hide the gun in the toilet. First of all he wouldve have known Tony be there until he followed him. And then he would have simply just walked in shot him.
The so called war between the Families the last two episodes was rushed, made no sense to me and was a cop out! |
ImagesByDavid:exactly...it also has some artistic value...
I thought the ending was beautiful. That "surprise" or "fear" reaction he gets when Meadow enters the diner, is what is all about. |
this is extremely retarded... |
Your ideas might make sense if this were a documentary. But this is dramatic art that has its own rules that have to be respected.
The only ending that makes dramatic sense (including sudden cut to black) is Tony's death.
IIRC Chase did waffe a little bit implying that maybe it wasn't that particular night, but Tony's story as a dramatic character is over. The only question is when he'll be suddenly and unexpectedly killed by a business associate. |
the show ended leaving Tony paranoid for his safety. Meadow comes in and Tonys reaction was one of fear.
the black guys, the one guy, just ordinary people nothing to do with anything. |
The Mafia would certainly hire outside hitmen to do a job. In Tony's final scene, Members Only Guy enters ahead of AJ like a mob bodyguard and takes a seat between Tony's family and the front door because he obviously is a mob bodyguard but when MOG convienently goes to the mens room, two black guys approach from the front and the series soon ends. Where are those damn body guards when you need them? Like Michael Corleone, this is not what Little Carmine wanted to do with his life... |
loool i was gonna write what u did
this guy is waffling about rubbish
the FBI agent is now anti-terror he isnt even on the Sopranos case anymore
nearly every point u made i can rip aprt but i cant be bothered
change the title of ur vid |
freaky disco and fdantheman got the right idea...the dude in this video doesnt know what the fuck hes talkin about...tony gets shot in the back of the head most likely by the dude in the members only jacket hence it cuts to black i also read that david chase originally planned for there to be almost a minute of black screen and silence at the end before the credits...the show ends when tony ends |
chap |
Yeah, this guy says 'pay attention', but he obviously didn't pay attention to the episodes that led up to this. They established that before you die, everything seems right and clear and calm and then everything cuts to black. The song may have been added to facilitate the idea that you can choose your own ending. You can believe the song, or you can believe the sudden blackout. He also overlooks the fact that thugs/gangs might kill him for the glory; to get rid of him and gain control, etc. |
I think that they faded out to black so the viewers can make up their own ending. |
You've got to ask why it cuts to black
Tony obviously didn't have a panic attack otherwise he'd be breathing heavily before the cut, and what did Bacala say about death- "must be like a cut to black" and Sil after his near-death experience- 'you don't see it when it happens'.
Meadow makes two failed attempts to park her car just as two attmepts to kill Tony Soprano in the series have failed. On the third...
Also, does the Journey song go "on and on and on" or does it just stop? |
paging doctor faggot |
Read between the lines people, he reveals enough facts to figure it out. Perhaps you should watch him in a mirror. Only a boss can kill a boss. Who's the only boss left? Who's on a suicidal downward spiral? Who's on first? |
idk guys, he has a microphone so he must be right. |
They don't get Tony?
They got Johnny Sac, hell they even got John Gotti |
ha ha ha. youre a maniac. Sopranos ending explained and you waffle on for 4 minutes 50 seconds and explain absolutely fuck all. |
fuck get to the point |
Sorry - check out ministryofmoutz's video for a valid, evidentially substantiated analysis. |
There is more than one new york crew although they are not shown in the TV and yes sometimes they outsource work so that it is not traced back to them. |
YOU'RE A DUMBASS!!! |
This guy is totally stupid. |
I agree with most of what you said, exept for the fact that tony will recognize his assassin right away. It is possible that the guy is someone who knows phil, and wants to revenge |
"Mobsters are never killed by hired hit men","They are killed by other mobsters" Wrong. "Mob never goes back on a deal" wrong. |
