Gene Kelly Frank Sinatra - "New York, New York"

gene kelly had such a fit, light body.

I've seen this many times and love it everytime. It's an early Sinatra trying to get his dancing down, but he had a great teacher in Gene Kelly which this i believe was there second movie after Anchors Aweigh, although it may have been even after they did Take me out to the Ball Game, at any rate, I loved the musicals of that day. As far as New York goes only been there once with a lay over for another flight out of the country, bummer :( would love to come back to catch a Broadway play peace

Thanks 'headedsomewhere'... didn't realise that the WTC were completed not so long ago, still, the 1949 New York skyline looks so impressive. Will now have to seek out the DVD for this film and watch it, does seem a good film.

No, this film was made in 1949 and the WTC was finished I believe in the early 70's maybe 72 or 73...lettin you know :) peace

Curiosity.... I don't see the WTC during their tour of New York, were they built when this film was made?
