Description : More Cosford 1992 footage this time a very rare apperance by B-24 Liberator Diamond Lil which had flown from the Commemorative Air Force based at Midland International Airport Midland Texas to mark the 50th Anniversary of the 8th Air Force arriving in the UK and she performed at a few of the 1992 airshows in the uk. The footage is taken from outside Cosford as we were still waiting to get on to the airfield after the airshow had started.

When was that video taken? Curiously the Collings Foundation claims, it has the last flying b-24. I loved seeing the b-17 909'r and the b17-whichcraft.

Hi there the video was taken on the 21/06/1992 at Raf Cosford on the west side of England. I think you may be right about there claim as Diamond Lil is not a true B-24 well not in 1992 anyway.So the net says she was returned to B24A configuration in 2007 and renamed Ol 927. Lol yer i had dumped the car by this time and walked into the show i think it took us around 4 hours to get into Cosford that year.This year if Vulcan XH558 is to make her airshow world debut at Cosford this year i am going to camp over night there is no way i will be watching that from outside the airfield!!!.lol

can usually do the journey in about 30 mins but like you say bumper to bumper all the way from w,ton
