Blue whale in Natural History Museum

Wow that's amazing! It's almost unnerving that something of that size is not a fantasy, it's a real creature. Just amazing.

Don't forget the Dodo. I always say hello to him when I visit the museum. He always looks a bit sad, perhaps he was the last one.

Unfortunately the dodo here is not a stuffed one but a copy - it was made some time ago and the colour has begun to fade. The thylacine (Tasmanian wolf - now almost certainly extinct) is genuine but it has lost a lot of its colour and the authorities do not really know what to do to stop it changing.

Amazing how it totally DWARFS the elephant. They really are amazing.

It is worth going to the museum just to see this model.
