Please, be so nice and tell me also the title of this Vangelis track. Yours, Ronald.

Amazing machine given the constraints of war time production. Less than 1.25 lbs. of Chromium employed in the entire engine. Short engine life to due materials shortages, but labor and baser materials were still available.

My dad would like this,he worked on jet engines allot of his life-in RAF,Air New Zealand on 747s.

8-stage axial compressor, quite advanced for its time; no one else used them because they were too complex and expensive!

Nothing had afterburners in world war II, silly.

Well the Nazi's were going to integrate the afterburner mechanism into the engine what stopped them short was the unavailability of materials under the Nazi occupied territory secondly the engine was already suffering from heating & an afterburner would only increase the anxiety of the engine manufacturers, Despite that the BMW 003 was much reliable but was never built on time to cover the disadvantages

It also powered the Horten HO 229, it had only 2000 lb of thrust and it had no afterburners...

thx for uploading!
