Chill Wills was also on alot of John Wayne Movies, for example McLintoc in 1963, he was a good actor. He was even on Meet Me in St. Louis with Judy Garland.

One of the great, little known character actors. Glad that some are out there that can appreciate the array of wonderful films that exist. The maid in 'Meet Me...' was played by Marjorie Main, of Ma Kettle fame, and Lassie's mom, June Lockhart was also in that particular film. Cheers & Roebuck!

Can.. not... get ... out of head! Great song great picture (as they would say =P)

I... know... what... you... mean! This scene has been stuck in my head for near on 50 years! Damn you Hal Roach!

Commence to dancin', commence to prancin', commence advancin'. Right and left aglancin'. You do the tango-jiggle and the texas tommy wiggle. Take your partner and you hold her, slightly enfold her..a little bolder, just work your shoulder snap your fingers one and all in the hall at the ball thats all. Some ball!

Nice job!

It's great to see this again! The Boys tried a similar dance routine in "The Flying Deuces," but the lack of the Avalon Boys showed! Was that Chill Wills (later the voice of "Francis the Talking Mule") doing the yodeling? I know he sang the bass part (as well as the bass voice on "Trail of the Lonesome Pine" for Stan).

Yes... a very young (and thin) Chill Wills. Glad you enjoyed the clip... it's one of my favorite moments from "Way Out West". Another is the 'bedroom' chase scene.

WOW THANKS!

You're welcome!
