Wa Habibi, Good Friday Hymn sung by Fairouz

Video Title : Wa Habibi, Good Friday Hymn sung by Fairouz
Description : This is one of two official Catholic hymns adopted from the 20th century. This new Good Friday hymn is sung by the Lebanese singer Fairuz. I have set this song to the Fourteen Stations of the Cross. English Translation: My Love, My Love What has befallen you? Who saw you and grieved for you, You who are righteous? My Love, what is the sin of our times and our children? These wounds have no cure. You can find the Fourteen Stations of the cross prayer at http://www.communityofhopeinc.org/wayofthecross/St.%20Francis%20of%20Assisi%20Stations.html or in arabic http://www.bakhdida.net/FrBasimShoni/SOTheCross.htm

Good bless you my brothers and sisters. I hope you be prepared for Mohammeds soldiers. You are always on my mind. A brother from Germany Jesus Christus der Sohn Gottes ist die Wahrheit.

hey thanks alot! can you just clarify something for me, the 13th and the 14th stations are the same, do they actually differ, and if so, how?

sorry about the confusion, the fourteenth station is actually "jesus is laid into the tomb", it was a mistake i overlooked when making the video last year and it's too late to fix it because i can't find the file i saved to make it :(

It is truly wonderful, I do not understand any word but it one of those unbelievably touching songs.

I agree. Fairuz was Syriac Orthodox but then became Melkite Orthodox :)

From my grandmother through to me - everyone is mesmerised by her voice. I wish she also sung some stuff in English - if anyone knowws opf any religious songs in English by her, PLS let me know...

Very nice, God Bless You
