Stupendous! I loved the one I once owned
Nomasain: Yes, originally, they did - but most of these eventually were prone to rust-through due to the gasses and gunk that the exhaust left on the chrome, eating away the metal. I can see why this guy would think twice about re-routing them back through that way - although it WAS super-cool. 57 Buicks had this feature, too if you can see a pic of one.
Arent the exhaust pipes/gasses supposed to come out from underneath the tail lights?
I believe the rear bumper is modified to house the exhaust.
What about the fins on the San Diego taxicabs in IT'S A MAD MAD MAD MAD WORLD?
Great car
I love this! My first car was a Firesweep with a stick shift modified 4 on the floor. My friends used to call it the batmobile.
Could never figure out why the mid fifties Chevvies commanded such high prices. They were short and high with awful rooflines and usually loaded with chrome. I called `em circus cars. Gimme the Chryslers anytime, long, wide and low.
361 cu. in. engine?
