It is also capable of performing tactical airlift, medical evacuation and airdrop missions. The C-17 takes its name from two previous United States cargo aircraft, the C-74 Globemaster and the C-124 Globemaster II.

Whatta machine !! Blew me away the 20,000fpm desent rate. What a buzz training for that. I'd like to see some low level stuff too.

Linda Corbould is from Launceston and did a surprise fly over after bringing this aircraft to Australia. It was an awesome sight!

So now they can drop food parcels even quicker .

I've jumped from this plane several times on Airborne operations. Heck I have some video of me flying around with my unit in one! It's a great plane. The best!!!!
