I know of two on Display. One is at the National Air Force Museum in Dayton Ohio. The other is at Grissom Air Museum in Peru Indiana. Grissom Air force base used to be a B-58 hustler base.

we are fortunate enough to have one down the road in galveston ,texas.. at the LoneStar Flight Museum..

The aerodynamics of the plane were ahead of the avionics. Today, she'd be flying rings around anything the world has.

No mothballed B-58's .... all either destroyed or scrapped ('77 was a big scrap year for them). About 8 remain as static displays in various US aerospace museums if you want to call that mothballed.

Hoggdawn, as a kid of the '70's I agree with you 100%. Oh, and if you do get the opportunity, you should hear/see/fly the English Electric Lightnings on a high speed low pass in Cape Town - I believe, there are several B-58's still mothballed in the States. Any ideas where and how to buy them?

They never should have retired these beauties. Bring back the classic old jets! B-58, B-47, F-4, KC-135 (w/old engines), F-86, T-33, Thud! Times were better back then!

nice sound, last 2 sec

cool exept wouldnt it be cooler if it broke the sound barrier?

it did..

John Denver's father used to fly these.
