Crimson skies for the xbox was a toned down 'arcade' sequel. It basically made it into a cartoon. The original cutscenes were b+w photos and talented voiceovers. The new ones are anything but live action. They don't even pretend to be realistic. The original game was also a clever fictional hybrid between flight sim and shooter. The zeppelins had broadside cannons, and you performed daredevil stunts for pictures. But, more importantly, the aircraft were fully customizable.

Youre right, I also like the xbox Crimson Skies, but this one was just better. I hope they make part3 like the first one.

Well... The creator of original Crimson Skies has made a new company (Smith and Tinker), and has bought the rights to it and the Battletech series back from Microsoft. Their website says that they're working on something... We shall see - but I have high hopes.

WTF is it with you, Microsoft Game Studios ?! Pony up the doe and good ideas and make a remake of this with more modern looking graphics, but with the same style and atmosphere, for crying out loud ! ;-)
