I love this movie... And Ruperett Everett was amazing as King Charles II... Great dialogue in this movie... just love it. And of course, it doesn't hurt that I saw this movie during my first trip to Paris (on Champs-Elysees)... makes it even more special to me.

Crudup, Danes, Chaplain and Wilkinson deserve all plaudits from this scene, and many others from this performance.. The awakening scene deserves every plaudit, from whatever pillar of whatever society.. As a production, brilliant. Close to "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead " Danes sounds so british and Cudrup is so English and gay.. Wonderful and beautiful and hopefull and virtual Hardty/'Dickens but never Shakespeare..
