Thanks for posting this clip. Brings back memories of my puppy who I named Barnabas (in 1967). The show seems ahead of its time. A new version of Dark Shadows with Johnny Depp -that would be good.

We'd run home from elementary school to catch the opening at 3:30 sharp. It was scary and romantic and everything wildly exciting when you're a kid. I've recently ordered the series through Netflicks, can't wait to watch them all again. (Just finished "Here Come the Brides" - loved that Bobby Sherman!)

Now this is a trip down memory lane. Had to go over to my friend's house to watch it after school because it was a little scary. Loved that show, and hey, I agree with you, NeponsetValleyGirl about Bobby Sherman. :)

started watching this show from day one..even before the vampire part kicked in....I even sent away for 2 Barnibus Collins vampire rings (cost 50 sents each + gum wrappers) and won one in a channel 7 Boston Dark Shadows contest)and sold them years later for about $600 each. I noticed in my videos of it..there were some bloopers they left in...like an actor putting his smoking pipe in his top pocket..thinking it was not lit..well it was still lit and he had to beat his pocket to put the fire out.
