The bfg actually originally came from this game, but it changed universes to Doom 3 for some reason.

ID made the BFG for doom1,2 and then they made one for Q2...

Yeah, that lifeless doom22 guy told me that, in an unnecessary insulting and vulgar display. I don't play much doom, except for the third, so I wouldn't know.
