I just got the Platinum Edition of this film on DVD and I also have this tape. What I don't get is why the Buena Vista logo was cut from the opening of the movie for the VHS release in 1992.

That was indeed a little weird having the BVD card crossfade to the WDHV "Coming to Video" graphic...this must have been one of the few times (if not the only time) that this has happened.

I had this VHS of 101 Dalmatians, and I always watched until the end of the previews.
Good memory.

There's a video editing error. They didn't need the "Coming This Fall to Home Video" logo on here, because they already said "Beauty and the Beast" was "Coming to Home Video".

My local cinema closed down with this film in June 1977. It was so sad as the music built up and as the words "The End" scrolled accross the screen, the red footlights came on and the screen curtains dropped for the last time. Tragic. Multiplexes are shite compared with proper theatres.

that was a late 1991 print. My cousin has it.

Okay, the Buena Vista logo with the extended version of the Disney jingle is just f**king scary. I mean just look at it, orange writing in a dark background with creepy music and the usual preview narrator saying "Stay tuned for two great disney classics, coming to home video!". Oh god, I used to have nightmares of that logo, it toke me several months just to get it out of my head. *shivers*

Find the print date yet bud?
|
No not yet but I know it released before the 1992 WDC logo VHS came out so it might be from April 1st through 9th
|
Does it have a print date at all?
