Nasser is the biggest symbol of defeat in all the Egyptian history , he was a big looser. Beside that he destroyed the Egyptian economy and after Egypt was the richest country in the middle east it turned to be one of the poorest countries. The Egyptians are paying since Nasser's era because they did not stand against that dictatorship ,and the dictatorship of his successors. Gob bless Egypt.

Amzing anthem , even though i hate nasser and his era that brought us 1000 years back , but it is still a great anthem

During 1948-1949 Abdel Nasser took part in the campaign against the new state of Israel. In this conflict he commanded a position from the "pocket of Faludja," south-west of Jerusalem, where three Egyptian battalions were surrounded for more than 2 months by Israeli forces. Nasser resisted gallantly with his troops until the cease-fire was declared. This was the only comparatively successful Arab exploit of the war
