Props to #74! That was an impressive climb and eventual win. Thanks for posting.

I remember Gigante, and Yamani Negasi, GS Asmara, GS Junior, and the 1968 olympic team. Oh and I can never forget Mahari Gabrielmichael. Mahari won the olympic trial race. It was a heroic effort. Still, gigante was my favorite. He was a great man. I hope he is still alive and well.

GerrieLijam: Presuming something is true is a lot different from asserting it SURELY is true. Since you don't know the difference, that makes you an intellectual light-weight. Your phrase about having an "axe to grind" is a worn-out cliche. Can't you come up with an original thought? The remainder of your comment is nothing but meandering, hysterical drivel. Apparently, you are not able to write something with substance or containing even a hint of intelligence. MORON!!

gerrieLijam: You've got it all wrong! benkokobe FIRST made the statement that "we know for sure these athletes do not take any performance enhancing drugs..." I simply asked how he knows that for sure. Maybe he just THINKS that's true. Does he have proof? The rules of logic dictate that the burden of proof is on the person who FIRST makes the claim of certainty. Didn't you learn that in school? You did go to school, didn't you? Are you an expert on Eritrean sports? You're a MORON!!

GerrieLijam: Your comment contains nothing of substance; it's just a smoke screen for your own ignorance. I noticed that you never answered my question: do you have PROOF that those athletes do not take performance enhancing drugs? Just because an athlete says he doesn't use drugs doesn't mean it's true. Also, you know nothing about me. I used to live in Eritrea, so maybe I know more about the country than you do. You are an arrogant ass who lives in the land of Oz.

benkokobe: And how do "we" know for sure that these athletes do not take any performance enhancing drugs? There are very few things that "we" know for sure!

Great cycling.
