This is a project by Allard van Hoorn.
These public installations are constructed with colorful shopping bags stuck into fences and resemble flower-bouquet-like mosaics. In its environment the Mandala functions as a link between the inner values like hope and the will to survive and the urban circumstances that dictate social change and development.
This is the Urban Mandala for the 'Kruidenbuurt' in Eindhoven. I will collaborate with the inhabitants to create the work. For the collaboration I depart from the newly launched slogan for the 'Kruidenbuurt': 'Aangenaam anders' or ' Pleasantly different'...
