i can think of a few reasons simply off the top of my head. feel free to comment.
A. Epee is about hitting first. When you are in constant motion it could in theory be easier to suprise your opponent.
B. A still target is really quite easy to hit in most cases. Also, newton states that objects at rest tend to stay at rest. When you are still, it will take too long to move and react as opposed to if you were already in motion, crucial w/ hitting first.
Pointless though if not controlled.
this was meant to explain bouncing
Thanks =)
Ive seen great passive fencers that have remarkable footwork and parrying ability. Im def a bouncer though.
Epee bollocks. Thats the shitist weapon of all slow and boring all who fence it in the UK have faild Foil.
Honestly I find Epee more entertaining than foil, Sabre is probably the most entertaining and I find foil rather ordinary but to each his own opinion.
Good Show! Personnally, I know someone in that competition, ... I really like the music, it co-insides with the movement of the fencers well. The whole thing is very well done, I have enjoyed it emenssly, and yes I can't spell,...I have watched it many times, espessially right before a fencing tournoment, it gets me all pumped up...:)...again, good job!
A non-electric stated set might be around 150 dollars. For electric gear, if you get the cheapest varieties (which break frighteningly fast) it's at least 200, even for epee.
Speaking of which, where's the sabre? It's so much more fun to watch..
