I wish they'd have used actors like they did with the other 4 games though. I think that is one of the things that made the Myst series unique.

I agree. Computer generated characters didn't have that intimate feel.

I still need to play more than an hour into the fifth game, so I can't really judge fully. But I was rather disappointed when I found out that they weren't doing live action. CG has gone a long way, even by that point, but it just doesn't compare to real people.
