The French, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish are NOT Latinos. It's true that all their languages derive from Latin, but so too does English. Latino is slang for people from Latin America. It does not apply in Europe!

English is derive from Germanic to see this one only need look at Old English. It is not derived from Latin.

At least 80%+ of the words in the English dictionary are derived from Latin. English was originally built on an ancient Germanic language. Then, over the course of a thousand years, educated English-speakers introduced Latin-derived words into the language. Nowadays the majority of English words have Latin derivations.

Then indeed you have your answer. As I said the English language was DERIVED hence created from Germanic Languages. Therefore the language itself was created before Latin based words were introduced. I hope you understand that. I'm not sure about the 80% in the dictionary part but I studied Latin for 8 years. Latin is a dead language. The words mean the same thing never changing. English is a living language and has changed and will continue to change so long as it is spoken.

I really don't want to get into an etymology discussion with you but I will say this. As long as people migrate to different lands and different languages are spoken, it stands to reason that words from other cultures will find its way into the dominant cultures language via the written word or via colloquialisms. This is not some strange occurrence. As more Spanish speakers enter America, over time our version of English will include more of their words.
