"With the driver control system, a little security in an insecure world" Haha! One feature that Toyota can't seem to get right. *disclaimer* Yes yes I know, controversy whatever, I don't care, I'm joking. |
you are right. fram does nothing. after all the hype when they were new, look who sells them now--walmart in mass quantities |
Thanks! I have been running Mobil 1, but I haven't thought about rust before. I'm also thinking about switching to Wix oil filters as I have found out that Fram filters do nothing. |
If you want to make your blazer last forever. I reccomend running a full synthetic engine oil. Such as Mobil 1 I run that in my blazer. I diffenely feel a improvment in performance. It protects your engine better and also cleans it while the oil is being pumped through it. You should have no problem raching 300,000 miles if you use this oil. Keep the underbody clean of debris and salt to prevent rust from ever starting. Rust proofing is also not a bad idea either. Good luck man. |
commercial makes it not look like a tiny shitbox. well done. |
that wasnt the first suv with standard anti lock brakes... jeep was the first and the explorer was the first with abs in low range and rover was the first 4 channel. |
My Blazer handles like a sports car and has all the power I need. (Not that there isn't room for improvement) It's my dream car and I am looking for ways to make it last forever! |
pcv valve |
Invest in a Chilton book. |
Not true. I own a 2005 Blazer!!!! |

actually, blazer ran alongside trailblazer until '05. jimmy was discontinued after '01 with the envoy replacing it and the bravada was based off the trailblazer after 2001 |
I love my 97 Bravada. I wouldn't give it up for anything... Bought it from the original owner with 145K miles for $900 and it's running like the day it was built. |
nah, the Blazer continued up until 2005, it was just a back-seat model. the Trailblazer, Envoy line was phased in while the s-series was phased out. my blazer is an 04 and its not a trailblazer |
ese auto en el crash tes puro plastico lo peor por eso no quiero chevrolet |
You can also tell it's a 98-03 model by the front end.
the actual Blazer/Jimmy name was dropped after 2003. The trailblazer took over for the GM line in 04 but looked exactly the same as the blazer. They went through a complete transformation at the end of 04 and released a new body style with the names TrailBlazer for GM and Envoy for GMC.
Both took the place of the blazer/jimmy |
i have a red 1998 blazer and it runs well kinda its not on the road and there is this part rite behind the throttle body and its pissing oil and making me lose oil pressure and the truck dies and thats one reason y i have it cuz my mom's bf gave it to me n said if u can fix it its urs so i got it running so im happy lol oh yah n i dont know wat the part is called that is pissing oil so if anyone knows can u plz tell me? |
Huh, you got it. The latest model year Jimmy I've seen was 2002, and I could've sworn only the Blazer carried on until 2005?!?!? But I've been wrong before! |
actually they did lol. you may wanna double check on that. |
Its A 1998, you can tell by the mirrors |
yeah chevy blazers still kick ass, no matter what model u have. Fix yours up and let em know we're back in business for real. I love my chevy blazer too. Original mats and rims. Like how TI say coming down in the chevy motor sound like its roaring LOL |
Ah, ok. The US model ended totally in 2002. We had a 2000 Jimmy and that thing was great |
yeah they did, they came back with the four door only for one year cause i bought it new. well at least they did here in Canada. |
They didn't make the Jimmy in 2004 |
