Gladys left in the seventies after Motown's hayday and was not affected like Mary was in the mid-sixties when Motown had still had tremendous power...Mary's career was badly derailed because she received minimal airplay after Motown even though she was still releasing great work...check out her classic post-Motown output...great to the end!

Mary Wells was the first female Superstar on Motown and this classic show the nobody was as sophisicated and soulful as Mary and this legend continued to the end doing great things and should be inducted in to the Rock Roll Hall Of Fame...Bravo Mary!!!
