Project-JK Moab Easter Jeep Safari 2008 - Steel Bender Trail

Video Title : Project-JK Moab Easter Jeep Safari 2008 - Steel Bender Trail
Description : As luck would have it, our first morning in Moab was met with freezing cold temperatures and steady snow still falling from the storm that followed us in the day before. And, while there was a bit of a break in the weather as we headed into town for some breakfast, the forecast still called for more snow later in the day and so we decided to do our first official Project-JK Easter Jeep Safari 2008 run up Steel Bender with both the top and doors on. Unfortunately for us, Jen (toad) and Jeff (Bullfrog) had other obligations they needed to attend to that day so the only people that would be going on this run would be Jason (SDMF), Cindy (WOLette) and I. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Steel Bender, it is a beautiful trail that takes you through impressive canyons, multiple water crossings, up over ledge after ledge (most can be bypassed) and across plateaus with outstanding views. However, I should note that there is one steep ledge that you will have to slide down (there is no bypass) and it will deliver a good pucker factor as there is a big ass drop-off to the right that just so happens to have a landing that's bit off camber in that direction. Anyway, we hope you enjoy this video. In the event you are interested, Jason is driving a black 2007 Jeep JK Wrangler Rubicon 2-door with a Currie Rock Jock Suspension System, 35" Cooper SST's, LoD Rear Bumper Tire Carrier, Shrockworks Mid-Width Front Bumper, WARN M8000 winch and Rock Hard 4x4 Parts Sports Cage. Cindy and I have a white Jeep JK Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited 4-door sitting on top of a Full Traction 4" Ultimate Lift, 37" Toyo MT's on Walker Evans Beadlocks, PUREJEEP front bumper/rear bumper tire carrier/rocker guards/CAI and outfitted with a WARN PowerPlant.

when i get my scrambler trail ready ill have to hit up Moab.... btw, how do you pronounce that? lol

Great video. I see that steep hill @ 7:30. Looks like someone filled it with rocks to decrease the drop. Last year there were no rocks there, I was told that area was clear and went straight down in a bone stock yj onto the front bumper and the jeep started to teeter forward. Talk about pucker.

Great Vid Have fun out there. OIIIIIIIO

GREAT Video!! That looks like so much fun :o) ~So_Calif_Rubi~

Well Done Videos!!! I thought mine were good See keysearch LOCNROL Well Done 2000 TJ

hey im about to lift my 08 jk 2dr and i was thinkin a 3-4 inch susp. with 35" tires, what is on that two door?

it has a currie rock jock jk suspension system on it.

i meant how many inches just wondering how the 3 and 4 inch compare visually and technically

the currie lift does not state a lift height but from what i have seen, it's something close to 5" up front and 3" in the rear. i think this was done to help compensate for the factory rake but the 2-door has a set of 1" coil spacers to help level things out.

are you guys going to moab for labor day? id like to meet up with yall. nice vids, keep em coming
