Melbourne is a city of style and sophistication, with an inviting cosmopolitan atmosphere. It is a melting pot of cultures reflected in its microcosm of restaurants, cafes, bistros and bars. Some are just a lane or two, while others cover a suburb or a busy CBD street. Spend time experiencing the richness of Melbourne's different cultures from the Greek Quarter around Lonsdale Street, Italian in Lygon street, Vietnamese in Victoria Street to the Chinese culture in Chinatown and the upmarket Paris End of Collins Street. Best city in the world!!!
@251416186 ..bro...i dont mean bad for people of any nation...ive travelled the world... England has even more indian population than australia..and indians their are safe and contributiong a grat deal to their economy..i didnt find people their with much 'Anti indian'/anti foreighner behaviour as i found in my trip to australia...feels soo bad..no offences :/
well many many Indians who decided to move to Sydney (as they were not brainwashed into moving to Mel) are actually very very happy people.... i have Indian friends and neighbours... and they feel bad for those who sold massive amounts of things in india to be disapointed in Melbourne
way way different.... its far from the same shit
we are becoming hostile... because the government is becoming corrupt.... and we have the highest amount of migrants coming in... and they have no respect for our way of life and culture.... and treat us like we are the second class citzens, when we and our grandparents have created a beautiful country.... so yes!!!
OMGEE.... i was just about to type to exact same thing.... its so scary... too much crime.... too much Housing Commission there... they are trying to grow the population...? what for..? only making it a worser place to live
Melbourne is the assault capital of the world
@musicshanky maybe the ones you encounted. But its a bit unfair to say we're all like that. I can't speak for anyone else but I know I'm not. Aussies tend to come across like that but theres nothing behind it. There are a million different types of people everywhere u go, i dont think u should summarize the majority. :)
@Max5941 .......bloddy indisciplined...snobbish bastards aussies are hostile for all...
Sydney sucks. It lures you in with the false promise of riding on a Hydrofoil and guess what....no freaking Hydrofoils. It's unjust. If you want to know more check out "Hydrofoil - The Musical" (shot in Sydney and Melbourne)
upfield line. might see me. =)
Melbourne Icons you should visit while you are here. Frankston, Dandenong, Broadmeadows and FOOTSCRAZY. Sunshine Train station also gets a special mention.
many, many Indians who have moved to Melbourne are very regretful that they did
Sydney, Melbourne...same shit, different pile
have never been to a more shitty place as melbourne in my life till yet..
Melbourne's old trains were fitted with Air Con in 2003, Sydney's Monorail doesn't even have Air Con,
Hey, tell me about it, there are Sydney people commenting on here trying to say that Sydney is better, Melbourne's transport may not be good at the moment, but i can say that it's better than Sydney's, because most of Sydney's train's don't even have Air Con, and every train in Melbourne has Air Con, even the old one's which were fitted with
If anyone want's information about Melbourne, email melbourne @ mylivingcity . com
You know what, i'm getting so sick of Sydney dick heads, the user "Max5941" always talks bad about Melbourne and tries to say it's bad and shit, and he's from Sydney, and user "sydneyfcanddascc" always comments on Melbourne video's trying to make Sydney look better than Melbourne and he's from Sydney! i've also noticed more people from Sydney doing the same, people from other city don't do shit like that!
Max5941) Melbourne was rated in the top 5 world's Future Global Cities in 2010, in late 2009, it was recorded that Melbourne has more office space than Sydney, and in 2008, Melbourne took over as fashion capital of Australia, and we're also the Sports capital of then world, AFL and the Australian Open are based in Melbourne!
Max5941) you need to get a life! all you do is type shit about Melbourne, Every suburb in Melbourne has foot paths, and not every suburb in Sydney have foot paths, in Melbourne out Cable internet speed is 100mbps, in Sydney it's 30mbps, and in 2009, Melbourne was rated as the safest city in Australia, and you call all that low standards lol, what a joke, most of Sydney trains don't even have Air Con while every Melbourne train has Air Con,
m8 im am from sydney and i even think youre makin a big mistake when mentioning it has a bad public transport system, are you fucking retarted? honestly? its one of if not the best cities in the world (this again, is coming from a sydneysider)
if you're a recent immigrant from a third world country you will feel right at home in Melbourne with its third world trains, litter, graffiti and revolting third world suburbs. But you'll have to get used to the higher rate of crime and violence
Adelaide looks more like a town, Perth is just getting started but there still is nothing to do there, Sydney just has a lot of homeless people and crime, and Brisbane, well it is hot, it's okay, Melbourne has more and less crime, we were rated as the safest city in Australia in 2009, Melbourne is also the Fashion capital, and the Sports Capital of the world, Melbourne has the Icehouse, and most of Australia's oldest buildings, i'll forward you a messages with more information in a private MSG!
melbourne is now number 3 which is ok but when they assess it they don't take boredom into consideration. those who assess these cities they have never lived in them. adelaide is more boring. sydney is unlivable, brisbane is hot. i reckon perth is a better city than melb. which part of melbourne do you like the most?
