Well mr. wikipedia, the B-36 was nowhere near the AN-225, and well, the spruce goose was big, although in terms of lifting capability and some other things, it was a lot more poor, and they didn't even get the maniac's plane fly steadily. It was more like a boat than an aeroplane, a big ass boat. cheers.

WOW! How does something that BIG go so vertical without stalling! The wonders of modern technology! It looks to me like the actual wing itsself is angled to allow greater lift????

Reality check aircraft watchers.... the c-5 galaxy is the largest american transport. the an-124 is the russian's counter part to go against the c-5. however, the an-225, the six engine monster also plays in this lifting competition.

that is one bad ass motherfuckin plane

In the video the guy says it is the largest that USAF has... So Carlovingjosh, learn to listen.

Yes. I did. I just stated my comment wrong. It was the Antonov AN-225 I was talking about as being the largest in the world.

yep thats the biggest airplane in the world. lol

That is not the largest airplane ever built. The largest airplane ever built is Antonov AN-225. In terms of lift capability, c5 is nowhere near it. Read before flaming, plox.

It was the Antonov AN-225 Mriya I was talking about. 275 ft long as opposed to 247 ft long, right? Sorry if I stated it wrong.

The antov an-225 is not the biggest plane ever built, the biggest plane ever built was the B-36 peacemaker bomber. along with howard hughes's spruce goose
