Cool commercial, and pre-FU(#!&g seat belt law I drive a 76 Gremlin myself...came with the same big ass gas tank as spoken below. Cost like $75.00 to fill it up

The Pacer has a 22 gallon fuel tank, I bought one because of gas rationing fears in the late 70's. Still have the car, it runs well, but just a weekend joy ride car now.

1975...one of the very first if not THE first Pacer ad..."no other small car can make this sandwich." Sad part is AMC spent so much on introducing the 1974 Matador coupe and the 1975 Pacer--both of which were failures--they couldn't update the other car lines (Gremlin, Hornet, and the Matador sedan/wagon) until they were too old to be popular--and some analysts say that was one of the factors in AMC's demise...

AMC always used pretty good actors in their commercials, I think that is James Millhollin as the butler in this ad

Wow, I remember this commercial, it's from 1975 or 1976!!!!!
