Naomi Campbell was at London's Heathrow Airport and had boarded a British Airways flight to Los Angeles to attend a memorial service when she was informed that one of her pieces of luggage was missing. Naomi apparently lost her temper and threw a tantrum, "ranting and screaming" and demanding that her luggage be found. Police were called but Naomi was reportedly not intimated. Witnesses told the Daily Mail that she was "virtually dragged" out of the First Class cabin and off the plane. The 37-year-old supermodel was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer and placed in handcuffs. As she was still screaming, she was allegedly placed in a cell to calm down. Naomi also seems to have found the time to spit at an officer, as a symbol of her frustration and unhappiness with the situation. This may seem like a change for the better, since she is better known for throwing cell phones at her assistants, but it could nevertheless land her in trouble. According to the Daily Mail, she could face a six-month jail sentence. Naomi's spokeswoman Annabel Fox, explained in a statement that the supermodel had simply boarded the plane when she was told a piece of luggage could not be found and that she should leave the flight. "Once on the plane she was told one bag could not be found and was missing. British Airways decided to resolve this by insisting she leave the flight and then called the police to forcibly eject her from the flight," Fox said. "She was taken to the Heathrow police station and released on police bail. So far as we are aware BA have still failed to offer any explanation as to why her bag went missing at Terminal 5," she added. Naomi is not the only passenger to have suffered at Heathrow's Terminal 5. Since its chaotic opening last month, hundreds of flights have been cancelled and tens of thousands of bags have gone missing, according to Reuters. The general confusion has cost the terminal some 16 million pounds. While Naomi could say in her defense that she is simply another among thousands of passengers who have been distressed by the situation. We will probably be hearing more about Naomi and her illegal adventures in May, as a Scotland Yard spokeswoman has cryptically said: "A 37-year-old was released on bail to return on a date in late May, pending further inquiries."

On January 16, 2007, Campbell pleaded guilty to a charge of reckless assault against her maid Ana Scolavino. She was sentenced to five days community service and ordered to attend two days of an anger management course. In addition, she was ordered to pay medical bills of $363 (£185) to Scolavino who required stitches after the incident. Just one incident amongst many on Wikipedia of this complete hounds nasty behaviour. Ban the snarling doberman from flying. She apparently spat at the officer.
