GUIDING LIGHT-- 1983 opening

THIS is my favorite. I think I like this music better than the Charles Paul 1977 version, and I do like that one.....but I have to say the 1983 theme is just a bit more powerful.

Of all of the soap themes this one ALWAYS stuck with me. It sounds so beautiful. I'm so glad I found this here.

When the soaps got away from their roots that's when they lost their audience. Now all the soaps have generic openings and music except for DAYS and Y&R. Although DAYS is the only soap that features the same opening sequence.

Best overall opening for any Soap Opera. Beautifully scored and the montage of scenes match the epic score. We get everything from the classic "Four Muskateers" to Nola's incredible fairytale wedding. Bloody brilliant. We had our best storylines from the 70's and especially the 80's.
